Fitness and Health Promotion Certificate

As the general public is increasingly focusing on health and fitness, the Fitness and Health Promotion certificate program will prepare you to help people achieve their goals by providing you with the knowledge and practical skills to develop and implement personal fitness training programs. This 12 credit hour certificate will prepare students to pursue the National Academy of Sports Medicine’s Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification.

Designed to prepare students interested in becoming a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Human Movement Science Certificate

With injuries becoming increasingly more common, injury prevention is a critical part of working with any athletes. The Human Movement Science certificate program will give students the knowledge to develop injury prevention programs and teach students how to help athletes improve functional capacity and correct faulty movement patterns. This 12 credit hour certificate will prepare students to pursue the National Academy of Sports Medicine’s Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) credential.

This 12 credit hour certificate will prepare students to pursue the National Academy of Sports Medicine’s Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) credential.

Sports Nutrition Certificate

The Sports Nutrition certificate program was designed for individuals who aspire to provide sound sports nutrition information to athletes and physically active individuals. The program focuses on using evidence-based principles in designing and implementing exercise and nutrition programs and interpreting research in the field of exercise and sport nutrition. This 15 credit hour certificate will prepare students to pursue the Certified Sports Nutrition (CISSN) credential from the International Society of Sports Nutrition.
